FEATHERSTONE ROVERS head coach Ryan Carr credited the home supporters after his team continued their perfect record at the LD Nutrition Stadium.
A convincing 32-14 victory against Sheffield Eagles saw Featherstone claim their third successive victory on home turf.
Carr said: “Our fans are fantastic.
"The boys love playing here in front of them and It was another good turn out today in bad conditions.
"It’s pleasing to play well here. We know we’ve got to be better next week away from home, but we’ll just take each week as it comes and today we got the job done.”
But he has insisted his side have to improve on the road.
“We know we’ve got to be better next week away from home, but we’ll take each week as it comes.”
Victory for the visitors would have seen them go top of the Betfred Championship table, but Featherstone quashed their hopes with some fine attacking play and by limiting the Eagles to less than 20 points for the first time since the sides last met in September 2018.
Carr said: “I thought we defended great today in tough conditions.
“I thought all the boys did a fantastic job. There were a few playing out of position, but they took it in their stride and put the team first. I couldn’t have been prouder of them for that.
“We let ourselves down in patches with our discipline, but overall the way we turned up and our attitude was fantastic.”
Rovers will look to continue their home form, when they host Dewsbury Rams at the LD Nutrition Stadium on Sunday 24 March.
