Featherstone Rovers have signed Craig Hall on a one-year loan from Hull Kingston Rovers.
The 31-year old adds over 200 Super League appearances of experience to the Featherstone side.
Hall is a talented full back who has the ability to cover wing or centre if needed.
The Hull born player made his first team debut for Hull FC back in 2007 coming through their academy side. After over 75 games in four seasons, the talented Hall moved over to the Robins.
After four more years in Hull with the Rovers, he finally left East Yorkshire joining Wakefield Trinity.
Hall was the first player signed by the newly formed Toronto Wolfpack for their inaugural 2017 where he won the Kingstone Press Player of the Year during their League 1 campaign.
A move to Leigh Centurions in 2018 was cut short as he re-joined Hull KR for the back end of the season. In his first game back with the Robins, Hall scored two tries as he helped KR claim a Derby Day victory over Hull FC.
This season, Hall has made 30 appearances for Hull KR scoring 12 tries in the Betfred Super League.
Hall can’t wait to get started with the Rovers in pre-season: “It’s a really good opportunity for me. I’ve moved on from Hull KR now and with the way that Featherstone Rovers played, especially towards the back end of the season, hopefully I can add something to that. There was quite a few young players in the Rovers team at the end of last season that played really well so anything I can do to improve the team I will certainly be doing that.
I’ve played down here a couple of times in the past and in front of the travelling support as well when Featherstone went to Leigh last season and they were great. I’ve come from a passionate fan base over at Hull KR and I’m expecting much of the same coming from the Rovers fans.”
Featherstone CEO, Davide Longo is over the moon to have secured the talented back: “We’re delighted to attract such a vastly experienced player to the club in the shape of Craig Hall. Craig is a proven Super League calibre player with an impressive striker-ate both in terms of try scoring and goal kicking. His versatility across the back line will certainly be valuable to the team in 2020.”
Football Manager, Steve Gill says the Rovers acted quickly to get Hall on board: “We found out early in the week that Craig was going to be made available, initially on a season long loan with no call back. We met Craig this morning and got the deal over the line. Craig will be a real asset to the club and will add real quality to our already strong back line. I would like to thank Mike Smith CEO at Hull KR for the professional way the deal went through.”
Craig Hall will be proudly sponsored by East Yorkshire Shutters for the 2020 season.
