HEAD coach John Duffy is predicting the Rovers’ toughest test yet as Featherstone prepare to battle Barrow Raiders this afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).
Victory could see Duffy’s Rovers move one point clear at the top of the Betfred Championship.
But hosts Barrow have not suffered a home defeat in 23 months, adding to Featherstone’s challenge.
“They have not lost for nearly two seasons at home and we are certainly going to be up against it,” said Duffy, who is sponsored by Nuffield Health.
“It is going to be our toughest game of the year so far, so mentality and attitude will play a massive part.
“We have a game plan which we believe can work, so it is about implementing that and performing well.
“We are still not clicking on all fronts yet and work is continuing away from the field in order to make that happen.
“After today we will be officially half way through the season and every team will have played one another.
“We have done pretty well so far but we know we are facing a monumental task this weekend.”
New-signing Jansin Turgut is set to make his Featherstone debut this afternoon, after joining from Hull FC on Thursday.
Duffy will reveal his starting line-up before 2.00pm.
