HALL MAKES ROVERS MOVE PERMANENT

Featherstone Rovers can now announce Craig Hall has signed a two-year deal with the club.

Hall was already scheduled to spend 2020 with Featherstone after joining the club on season long loan but now he has officially left Hull KR and will sign with Featherstone on a permanent basis.

The move will mean that the talented full back will be with the club until at least the end of 2021.

The Hull born player made his first team debut for Hull FC back in 2007 coming through their academy side. After over 75 games in four seasons, the talented Hall moved over to the Robins.

After four more years in Hull with the Rovers, he finally left East Yorkshire joining Wakefield Trinity.

Hall was the first player signed by the newly formed Toronto Wolfpack for their inaugural 2017 where he won the Kingstone Press Player of the Year during their League 1 campaign.

A move to Leigh Centurions in 2018 was cut short as he re-joined Hull KR for the back end of the season. In his first game back with the Robins, Hall scored two tries as he helped KR claim a Derby Day victory over Hull FC.

This season, Hall has made 30 appearances for Hull KR scoring 12 tries in the Betfred Super League.

Craig Hall, upon joining the Rovers said: “It’s a really good opportunity for me. I’ve moved on from Hull KR now and with the way that Featherstone Rovers played, especially towards the back end of the season, hopefully I can add something to that. There was quite a few young players in the Rovers team at the end of last season that played really well so anything I can do to improve the team I will certainly be doing that.

I’ve played down here a couple of times in the past and in front of the travelling support as well when Featherstone went to Leigh last season and they were great. I’ve come from a passionate fan base over at Hull KR and I’m expecting much of the same coming from the Rovers fans.”

Football Manager, Steve Gill said: “It’s great news that we have been able to get Craig’s deal to become our player for the next two seasons over the line. Not only does it give him an extra year here at the Rovers, but also it frees that loan spot up for us further down the line if we require it.”

Craig Hall will be proudly sponsored by East Yorkshire Shutters for the 2020 season.

Hall was the first new 2020 recruit to wear the Rovers new Home Jersey. You can get yours today from our online retail store here.
