FEATHERSTONE ROVERS 2019 Together As One members will have their names incorporated into the design of this season’s Summer Bash shirt.
Featherstone will face York City Knights at the Summer Bash in Blackpool on Saturday 18th May and every Rovers supporter who purchases a membership before Featherstone’s home match against Batley Bulldogs on February 10th, will have their name featured on the kit the team walks out in at Bloomfield Road.
Featherstone Rovers head coach Ryan Carr said: “Rugby league is a sport where the connection between players and supporters is so strong and important.
“From speaking to people at Featherstone, I understand this is a key part of the club’s identity and it’s something I really want to encourage.
“Including the names of our supporters on the players’ shirts is a clear sign that they are with us and will be out there trying to lift the lads.
“I will want the team to look at those names and do every single one of them proud. I really want them to buy into the together as one message that the club’s been using, to make us stronger.”
He added: “I look forward to getting to know the people attached to those names and coaching the team to give them some great rugby league to enjoy in 2019.”
Carr will arrive in the UK on Tuesday morning and will join up with his squad, which has now been bolstered by Papua New Guinea internationals Watson Boas and Thompson “The Terminator” Teteh, who landed at Heathrow airport earlier today.
