RIDYARD RECEIVES THE ALL CLEAR

THE Featherstone Rovers squad has received a huge boost, with the news that vice-captain Martyn Ridyard is close to a return.

The halfback, who is sponsored by Ross Travel Group, saw a shoulder specialist on Tuesday afternoon and was cleared for contact.

Featherstone Rovers head coach John Duffy said: “This is some really good news on Martyn. He’s been to see the surgeon and had the all clear.

“His rehab’s gone really well and we’re already in front regarding his return to play tests.

“He hopefully won’t be too far away from returning to the field.”

He added: “We’ve obviously missed his leadership and guidance. He’ll give us a massive boost for the rest of our games.

“It’s good to get him back for some game time and obviously this means we won’t be waiting on him in preseason too.”

Last week, Ridyard revealed his frustration at being unavailable for match action, but is excited to take the field at the LD Nutrition Stadium soon.

Featherstone Rovers host Dewsbury Rams on Sunday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Supporters have until 2.00pm on Saturday to secure tickets for Sunday’s game - and SAVE!

PLEASE NOTE: On the day of the match, adult and concession admission prices will rise by £2.
