FOUR Featherstone Rovers Ladies have arrived in Australia ahead of the 2017 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, which gets underway on Thursday.
Featherstone and England captain Andrea Dobson was joined on the flight by three other Rovers, Kayleigh Bulman, Sarah Dunn and Emma Slowe, as part of a 23-strong squad.
Other clubs represented in the squad include Bradford Bulls, Thatto-Heath St Helens and Castleford Tigers.
England begin their World Cup campaign against Papua New Guinea on Thursday November 16, in Sydney, before taking on holders Australia on Sunday November 19.
Their final Pool A match will take place on Wednesday November 22 against the Cook Islands, with New Zealand and Canada also partaking in the tournament.
The semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup will be held on Sunday November 26, with the final being played on Saturday December 2 at Brisbane Stadium ahead of the men’s World Cup final.
