ROVERS MOURN JORDAN

THE club is mourning the loss of former Featherstone Rovers star Gary Jordan, who passed away over the weekend.

Jordan, a Wembley winner with the Rovers in 1967, spent nine seasons with the club.

He made 229 appearances and 115 tries for a total of 345 points.

Jordan, a centre or winger, appeared twice as a Great Britain international, taking on France and Australia during the 1960s before leaving the club in 1970.

Jordan featured in Featherstone’s first-ever Challenge Cup success, as the Rovers won the coveted crown in the capital.

A minute’s silence will be observed prior to kick-off on Sunday when Featherstone host Batley Bulldogs at the LD Nutrition Stadium (3.00pm).
