Featherstone Rovers RLFC is committed to being involved in the community and working with groups and organisations that try to make a positive impact in the local area. An opportunity to involve the club with the work of other community groups is something that we value, and as a result, we will make every effort to support as many requests as possible.
You can make a request for a Featherstone Rovers player to attend your event. Please read the information below, before making a request. If your event meets all of the criteria, please e-mail it to email@example.com or post to Featherstone Rovers Foundation, The ld nutrition Stadium, Post Office Road, Featherstone WF7 5EN (requests by any other method will not be considered).
We ask that each appearance request meets the following criteria:
New requests will always take priority over repeat requests.
If your request is successful, we will contact the event organiser and prepare a brief, regarding the purpose of the appearance to ensure the player is fully aware of their role.
All player appearances are subject to change. If an event has to be rescheduled the club will try and attend the rearranged date.
The best time to request a player appearance is from the start of pre-season (mid-November) to the start of the season (beginning of February). Players also make a limited number of appearances during the regular season. Please keep in mind, the players train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings and so will be unavailable at these times. Players are NOT available immediately after the end of the season and it may not always be possible to get the player your organisation requests.
Promoting Player Appearances
Featherstone Rovers RLFC must approve the use of the Featherstone Rovers RLFC name, logos and trademarks and/or any advertising that implies the support or sponsorship of an event by Featherstone Rovers RLFC. Before advertising a Featherstone Rovers player appearance, please contact us for approval.
Featherstone Rovers’ official mascot, Percy the Pit Pony, is available to make appearances throughout the Wakefield Metropolitan District Council areas.
Percy is able to make appearances on behalf of schools, non-profit making organisations and at community events (depending on availability).
Each appearance will last for a maximum of one hour. Due to high levels of demand, organisations will be limited to one appearance per season.
If your request is successful, we will contact the event organiser and prepare a brief, regarding the purpose of the appearance to ensure the mascot is fully aware of its role.
All appearances are subject to change. If an event has to be rescheduled the club will try and attend the rearranged date.
